Supported Employment provides supports for people with developmental disabilities to work in a job of their choice. An extensive profile is developed to determine the skills, abilities and desires of the individual. After generating the profile, job development is conducted to match the needs of the individual with that of an employer. When a job match is made, a Civitan Services Job Coach will train the person at the job site in accordance to the specifications of the employer. This service has been successful both nationally and in Arkansas to assist many people with severe disabilities to gain successful or meaningful employment.
